Lesson Scheduling:

Lessons are held on a weekly basis from August through May. The lesson lengths are determined by Ms. Becky based on the playing level of the student. 

The studio Summer break is during the months of June and July and the first 2 weeks of August. Vacation breaks during the year are Spring Break, Thanksgiving, and 2 weeks for Christmas Break. For more on our studio schedule, please VISIT HERE

Piano Lessons:

Beginning through Intermediate piano lessons focus on begining fundamentals, technique, and learning to read accurately and easily and develop the ongoing skills as a budding classically trained pianist. Advanced piano lessons, focus on including full works from classical, romantic, and modern repertoire, fugues, sonatinas, sonatas, and piano accompaniment.

Required Piano Lesson Books:

Student method books or repertoire books are based on each student's playing ability level. In the Studio, we use the Faber Adventure books for piano lessons for children, teens, and adults.  This book series develops a great foundation of music basics at a steady pace and is easy for the students to follow. Please only purchase the books applicable to the current level the student is at. Ms. Becky can make arrangements to purchase the books for you, including the cost of tax, and have the books available for the student at their lesson, and the lesson summary will include the cost of the books for reimbursement.  

Horn Lessons:

Beginning horn lessons focus on learning to play the horn, proper playing position, reading music, embouchure position, breathing, and maintenance of the horn. Incorporating audition fundamentals from scales, solos, and sightreading while using horn exercises, etudes, and pieces that are assigned based on ability. We use books like the Kopprasch studies books as technique builders and various other books, orchestra excerpts, duet books, and solo pieces to supplement learning for artistic playing.

The books can be purchased in the store listed below here in town and there are also other online resources that can supply the books, such as Amazon.com. Or Ms. Becky can make arrangements to purchase the books for you, including the cost of tax, and have the books available for the student at their lesson, and the lesson summary will include the cost of the books for reimbursement.
